Diwali or the festival of lights is celebrated with much pomp and show in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’; the festival marks the triumph of good over evil. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, The Daffodil Public School held the Annual Daffodil Diwali Celebration in the school on.The school had a special assembly by the students. The teachers told the importance of Diwali.

Students also watched an animated movie on Ramayana to understand the meaning and significance of the Diwali Festival. The students played various games in class and also had Diwali snacks. The students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations whole heartedly.


Students decorated their classes on this occasion, made Rangoli and gave handcrafted Diwali greeting cards to teachers and the Principal. Best class award for Diwali Decoration was awarded to – Class III. Many Congratulations to the Class teacher – Mrs. Sumitra Majumdar and students for their excellent work.
